We have set up a test store so that you can see how both the Advanced Shipper Admin works and how the Demonstration Shipping Methods are shown to customers when using the Shipping Estimator or the Checkout.
Please note that this Demo Store includes the Advanced Shipper Localities module, which allows customers to select their address from a list of pre-defined States and Cities. This functionality does not come as standard with the Advanced Shipper module - the Localities module is needed also!
It also includes the Advanced Shipper Zones module, which allows regions to be defined using Zones. This functionality does not come as standard with the Advanced Shipper module - the Zones module is needed also!

To log into the admin for the test store, go to: http://zen13x.dev.ceon.net/admin

The Shipping Estimator can be used to test any address, or the following test account has several addresses already set up:

Tip: Try mixing products from the Hardware and DVD Movies categories to see how useful these modules are!
Notes about the demo
The demo is a fully functional installation of the Advanced Shipper, Localities and Zones modules, although saving is disabled.. all options can be tried out in the admin, but no methods can actually be saved.
- Some of the shipping methods use Advanced Shipper's standard Countries/Postcodes matching whereas others use the Localities States/Cities matching.
- As Localities States/Cities matching is far superior to Zones matching, Zones matching isn't actually used for any of the shipping methods. For stores not using Localities matching, Zones matching offers an extra option to match addresses beyond the standard Countries/Postcode matching, which some stores may find desirable as use can be made of Zones already set up for the store. The procedure for selecting these Zones can still be tried out in the admin even though none of the demo shipping methods make use of Zones.
- The Shipping Estimator can be used to try out different addresses.
- For the UK demo methods, this includes testing out the postcode matching.
- For other countries, the demo methods match Countries or States.
- The range of Countries, States and Cities entered into the Localities database is very small, but should be sufficient to show how useful restricting customers to specific states/cities can be!
