Features

This Payment Module has been written to be as comprehensive as possible...

  • Full support of all essential parts of Sage Pay Direct's 2.23 Protocol. This includes support for the three different Transaction Types: Authenticate, Deferred and Immediate Charge. It also includes support for the various AVS (Address Verification) Options and 3D-Secure Options. Configuration of these features is accomplished using simple radio buttons in the Module's Admin Configuration.
  • Full 3D-Secure Support. Also known as “Verified by Visa” or “MasterCard SecureCode”, 3D-Secure adds an extra layer of security to the acceptance of card details over the internet. The online equivalent to “Chip and Pin”, it is anticipated that the majority of cards will eventually make use of this technology. In fact, since 30th June 2007, all Maestro cards require 3D-Secure authorisation.
  • Icons Displayed for Card Types/PayPalIcons for each Card Type accepted and/or PayPal. If the option is enabled in the admin, icons are displayed for each credit/debit card accepted as well as an optional icon to indicate that Sage Pay can process a PayPal payment (see picture at right), a professional way to make it easier for customers at the checkout stage to see what card types the store accepts.
  • Card Types/Payment Methods supported:
    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • Maestro
    • Visa Debit
    • MasterCard Debit
    • American Express
    • Visa Electron (UKE)
    • Diners Club International
    • JCB
    • Laser (New for Sage Pay Form 1.0.0)
    • PayPal (New for Sage Pay Form 1.0.0)
  • Sidebox with Icons Displayed for Credit/Debit Cards AcceptedCards Accepted Sidebox. A “Cards Accepted” sidebox comes with the module, allowing the dynamic display of icons for each card type accepted, as well as optional PayPal icons, making it simple to alert customers to the card types accepted by the store before they've even reached the checkout stage.
  • [New for Sage Pay Form 1.0.0] Sage Pay and/or Protx Logo Display. As Sage Pay is a rebranding of the popular company Protx, many people may still be more familiar with the Protx brand. For this reason there are options in the module's admin to display the Sage Pay logo, the Protx logo or both logos. The title of the module as displayed to the customer can also change respectively.
  • Support for a Single Merchant Account Currency or Multiple Merchant Account Currencies. Each currency in which the store wants to accept payment requires a separate merchant account for the respective currency. This payment module supports the sending of payment information to Sage Pay in any number of currencies, according to the settings specified in the Module's Admin Configuration.
  • Storage and Display of Completed Transaction Information. The Transaction Information for any order processed using this module is available directly for viewing on the Order Details page for that order in the Zen Cart Admin.
  • Support for Sage Pay's Simulator testing services. This module allows the testing of its operation and configuration in conjunction with Sage Pay's extremely handy Simulator service, avoiding having to create lots of test orders with lots of bogus details. Once the configuration has been confirmed as working, the module can be switched to using the store vendor's My Sage Pay Go live account at the click of a radio button!
  • Model Number After Product Name. The product details sent to Sage Pay can have the model number appended to the product name, conforming to the standard format used in Zen Cart's order information product listing.
  • Debug Support. Sometimes there can be problems sending and receiving information to/from Sage Pay. The debug mode gives the ability to see what information is going to be sent to Sage Pay before the customer is redirected to the Sage Pay Form payment page and also what response was received by the store after they'd entered their details. Most stores should never need this though and it is subsequently disabled by default.
